Program sales alliance Nordic World has named former Mastiff Television producer Ann Christin Siljan (pictured) to the newly created position of director of sales and acquisitions.

She takes up her position on August 1, and will report to Nordic World’s COO Jan Salling.

Siljan had previously worked as a producer and executive producer with format development and sales experience at Norway-based Mastiff Television, and her credits include Trinny and Susannah: Mission Norway; Fort Boyard Norway; Don’t Tell the Bride; and Norway’s Ugliest Room.

“The world is now knocking at our door and Ann Christin’s skill, experience and insight, particularly in the major growth area of formats, will enable us to respond to the escalating global demand,” said Espen S. Huseby, CEO of Nordic World.

“I love creating content, but I have always enjoyed selling it as well – especially when it’s the fresh, bold, risk-taking content that our Nordic independents do so well,” added Siljan.
