After more than 150 episodes, Dog Whisperer with Cesar Millan (pictured) will begin its ninth and final season for U.S. network Nat Geo Wild on July 7.

The announcement came via Millan’s Facebook page yesterday (June 6). The upcoming season will feature 12 episodes, as well as appearances from assorted dog-loving celebrities, including Kelsey Grammer, Jillian Michaels, Hugh Hefner, and NASCAR drivers Greg Biffle and Kevin Harvick.

The ninth season will also see Millan traveling from London to, yes, the Jersey shore to help pet owners with their assorted pooch-related problems. The series migrated to Nat Geo Wild after seven years on National Geographic Channel for its eighth season.

While encore presentations of Dog Whisperer will appear on Nat Geo Wild and Nat Geo Mundo in the U.S. and globally, a new canine competition series starring Millan, the previously announced Leader of the Pack, will make its debut on Nat Geo Wild in early 2013.

“It was bittersweet filming the final episodes, but they are a lot of fun and turned out to be some of the best cases ever,” said Millan. “And to my biggest fans, never fear, you haven’t seen the last of me yet.”
