Discovery Networks Latin America/U.S. Hispanic (DLA/USH) is launching HD versions of two of its channels – Discovery Home & Health on July 1 and Investigation Discovery on August 31.

The two new HD channels will complement the company’s existing HD offerings in the region, which include TLC HD and Discovery HD Theater. With the summer launches of the new HD channels, Discovery’s regional portfolio will include a total of 15 channels, four of them in HD.

Discovery Home & Health HD will feature programming ranging on topics from health and beauty, to relationships, family and home. Programs to air on the channel will include Divine Design, My Strange Addiction, World’s Worst Mum (pictured) and Unfaithful.

Investigation Discovery HD, meanwhile, will offer high-definition versions of programming available on the fast-growing Discovery Communications net, which is set to launch in the region on July 9.

“The new channels reflect Discovery’s constant commitment to offer both high-quality content and the most advanced technologies,” said Vera Buzanello, senior vice president for distribution, DLA/USH.
