The advisory board has been set for the 2013 Realscreen Summit, the centerpiece of the international non-fiction calendar, with A&E Network and BIO Channel president and GM Robert DeBitetto and Discovery and TLC group president Eileen O’Neill set to chair an all-star board.

Registration is now open for the 15th edition of the annual event, which takes place in Washington DC from January 27-30, 2013.

The duo will oversee a panel of top-tier execs committed to helping shape a program of inspirational and meaningful content for next year’s event. The advisory board (in alphabetical order) consists of:

Frances Berwick, president of Bravo and Style Media
Alan Braun, agent at Creative Artists Agency
Robert DeBitetto, president and general manager of A+E Network and BIO Channel
Nick Fraser, commissioning editor for BBC ‘Storyville’
Dirk Hoogstra, senior VP of development and programming for History
Gary Lico, president and CEO of CableReady
Jane Millichip, London MD for Zodiak Rights
Eileen O’Neill, group president for Discovery, TLC and Discovery Fit & Health Networks
Howard T. Owens, president of National Geographic Channels
Jane Root, founder and CEO of Nutopia
Morgan Spurlock, writer, producer and director at Warrior Poets

The Summit, which sold out earlier this year, will once again be held at the Renaissance DC Hotel, which has been secured in its entirety for use exclusively by paying delegates.

“It’s validating when executives of this caliber willingly give of their time to help us push the Summit to the next level,” said Claire Macdonald, VP and publisher of realscreen.

“For the past few years our advisors have been instrumental in shaping the content and landing us speakers we might not have had access to. Thanks to them, the Realscreen Summit is now the definitive global market and conference for the business of unscripted entertainment.”
