Banijay Productions France launches reality division

Banijay Productions France, the prodco run by Alexia Laroche-Joubert and Lionel Valaneix, is launching a reality division, spurred on by the success of its series Les Ch’tis.
The company, which falls under the umbrella of Stéphane Courbit-controlled Banijay Entertainment, has produced two seasons of Les Ch’tis for French network W9.
The show looks at rural dwellers in the North of France, and Banijay International is selling the format for the series under the international title Party Workers.
Florence Fayard, who has served as a producer at Banijay Productions France since 2010, has been promoted to head of the new reality division, a Banijay Entertainment spokeswoman told realscreen.
She will work with Lucie Cabourdin, who oversees of development at the French company.
