The organizers of the Doc Circuit Montreal documentary market have put a call out for participants for the event’s second annual One-on-One pitch session, aimed at new filmmaking talent.

The full-day event will take place on September 28 and give 15 up-and-coming directors a chance to meet and network with 10 established producers. The goal is to give industry newcomers “an opportunity to get an inside look at the dynamics of the documentary industry and a chance to update their skills by interacting with industry professionals,” according to the organization.

The day features a pitch session and discussions about the challenges facing the documentary industry. The deadline to apply is September 3 and eligibility criteria can be found on Doc Circuit’s website.

The eighth edition of Doc Circuit Montreal will take place November 12-14 at the Cinémathèque québécoise and the Grande Bibliothèque. Registration opens on August 1.
