Four docs up for DGC Allan King award

The Director’s Guild of Canada has named four nominees for the Allan King Award for Excellence in Documentary, including David York’s Wiebo’s War (pictured).
The three other nominees for the honor are West Wind: The Vision of Tom Thomson, directed by Peter Raymont; Desert Riders, directed by Victor Sarin; and Peace Out, directed by Charles Wilkinson.
The awards will be presented in Toronto on October 20. This year’s presentation also coincides with the 50th anniversary of the Directors Guild of Canada.
