UK producer-distributor Parthenon Media Group is venturing into the stock footage realm, teaming up with footage provider OmniMovi to offer 2,000 factual and lifestyle clips to the market.

This footage, from Parthenon’s catalog of nearly 600 factual programs (including Mystery Files, pictured above), will be distributed via OmniMovi’s network of stock libraries and other parties, including producers, advertising agencies, web design and marketing companies.

The footage has been prepared by OmniMovi, which has selected commercially viable clips and created bespoke metadata and keywords for each one.

“Parthenon is the first UK distributor we approached to work with us on this project. Given the ever-growing demand for quality HD content, and the reputation Parthenon has built in this area, it was a natural fit for us to extend their library of footage to the market,” said Ann Garner, MD of OmniMovi.

Carl Hall, CEO of Parthenon Entertainment, added: “What sets this new service apart is the extraordinary breadth and quality of content covering a variety of genres. Working with OmniMovi has also opened a new and valuable resource for the company, enabling us to access all our archive HD content in a fully-searchable and usable capacity.”
