Jane Johnson (pictured), who joined Sky Living as director in February 2011, is stepping down in August to start her own consultancy.

Sky’s commissioning editor for entertainment, Antonia Hurford-Jones, will take on the role of acting director of Sky Living. Hurford-Jones joined the channel nine months ago.

Johnson came on board Sky to harness the commissioning, production, acquisition and scheduling hubs for female-skewing Sky Living and its spin-off channels Sky Livingit and Sky Living Loves.

Prior to joining the company, Johnson served as the former editor of the Sun‘s Saturday edition and Closer magazine. Before the Sun, she also held positions at News of the World, Fabulous magazine, and Sunday Mirror.
