Zodiak Rights has promoted Santa Monica-based Glen Hansen, expanding his role from SVP, acquisitions and business development, North America, to SVP, sales, acquisitions and coproductions, North America.

Hansen, who joined the distribution arm of Zodiak Media earlier in the year following a stint with Fox Look, has been responsible for spearheading the company’s third-party acquisitions in the U.S. His expanded portfolio will now give him responsibility for all U.S. and English-speaking Canada finished program and format sales from Zodiak Rights’ catalog.

Hansen will continue to report to Jane Millichip, Zodiak Rights’ London-based managing director.

“Operating North American sales out of the U.S. is a significant strategic move for Zodiak Rights, and one which we believe will drive growth in all aspects of Zodiak Rights’ North American business,” said Millichip.
