Sydney-headquartered Beyond Distribution has acquired CMJ Productions II’s Fatal Vows, a 10-part series that traces the stories of spouses who kill their partners.

Each hour-long episode uses dramatic re-enactments, interviews and archive footage to recount the stories of marriages that end in murder.

According to the distributor, commissioning broadcasters for the series include Investigation Discovery in the U.S. and Canada, Canal D in Canada and AETN UK. The series will be available for broadcasters worldwide by the end of the year, and Beyond will be bringing it to MIPCOM to drum up interest.

“We are thrilled to continue our relationship with CMJ,” said Fiona Crago, general manager of Beyond Distribution. “The series sits perfectly within our extensive real crime catalog, whilst offering a unique twist on the genre.”

The distributor will also be bringing the third season of The Will: Family Secrets Revealed, another series from the Montreal-based CMJ Productions II, to the Cannes market.
