TruTV is expanding the Hardcore Pawn franchise, with a new location, Chicago, and new production company, Bischoff-Hervey Entertainment (The Catalina and The Devils Ride).

Hardcore Pawn: Chicago is a 9 x 30-minute series scheduled to premiere later this year, and is set in Chicago’s Royal Pawn Shop. The docu-series will follow brothers Randy and Wayne Cohen as they run one of the city’s largest and oldest pawn and gold-buying businesses.

TruTV’s original Hardcore Pawn, from Zodiak USA, is on its sixth season, with the first spin-off - Combat Pawn (pictured) – currently airing in its first season.

“If you’ve ever spent any time in a pawn shop, you’ve probably seen some of the outrageous characters who come through the doors… or work behind the counter,” said Marc Juris, executive VP and COO of TruTV. “Hardcore Pawn: Chicago takes things to a whole new level, thanks to Randy and Wayne’s over-the-top personalities and the wild antics of some of their customers.”

Bischoff-Hervey Entertainment’s Eric Bischoff and Jason Hervey serve as executive producers.
