Style dressing up its schedule for Fashion Week

From September 6-14, Style Media will be offering up specials and short-form content to complement New York City’s Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week.

NBCUniversal cable net Style will kick off the themed programming on September 6 with StyleCandy’s Trend of the Day vignettes, ahead of the September 10 premiere of Making a Model: Elite Model Look. The one-hour special from Momentum Entertainment Group follows the transformations of assorted young women as they compete to become the new face of Elite Modeling.

Also airing September 10-13 are four episodes of State of Style, produced by Barracuda Film & TV, featuring interviews from top designers Betsey Johnson, Michael Kors and Tommy Hilfiger, and looks at collections from Marc Jacobs, Zac Posen and Lacoste.

Fashion guru Jeannie Mai will host The Style List: Fall’s Top Ten Trends,  a special counting down the season’s top 10 fashion trends, airing on September 11.

Each evening of Fashion Week will see Mai and Marie Claire magazine’s senior fashion editor Zanna Roberts Rassi report from the runways.

Additionally, Style will air fashion-themed episodes of the scripted series Gossip Girl and Sex & the City, and marathons of the reality series America’s Next Top Model and Project Runway throughout the week.

The week-long fashion extravaganza wraps up with the broadcast of The 2012 Style Awards on September 14.
