Discovery en Español has begun production on a series following Mexican soccer team Pumas, set to premiere in the fourth quarter of this year.

Acceso Exclusivo: Pumas is part of the network’s ‘Fútbol vDL’ (or ‘Football via the Discovery Lens’) programming strand, which previously aired two productions, La Ciencia de Gol (Science of the Goal) and La Ciencia del Campeón (Science of the Champion).

The series will follow the team as it conducts pre-season training and tryouts and looks for new rising stars, as well as the team’s passionate fans.

“‘Fútbol vDL’ allows us to offer our viewers the finest in quality programming that uncovers the most revealing details about this game,” said Victor Parada, vice president of ad sales for Discovery U.S. Hispanic.
