California-based independent distributor Rive Gauche Television has acquired the rights to the documentary crime series Evil Twins (6 x 60-minutes, pictured), produced by Sirens Media.

The series, which began airing in the United States on cable network Investigation Discovery this summer, focuses on true crime stories involving twins who live apart but share criminal records, deadly sibling rivalries, and childhood pacts. In exploring the nature vs. nurture debate, the show asks whether psychopathic behavior is pre-programmed.

“The best way to stop channel surfers in their tracks is with a great title and a compelling concept,”┬ásaid Rive Gauche president David Auerbach. “Evil Twins delivers on both these fronts beautifully.”
