Tricon expands further into scripted

Toronto- and LA-based Tricon Films & Television is expanding into the scripted arena with the addition of Lewin Webb (pictured), who will head up scripted development.
The production and distribution company already has a catalog that includes scripted dramas and comedies, and Webb’s role will be to significantly expand the division. He comes to Tricon with a slate of projects already in the works, and recently produced a feature film screening at the Toronto International Film Festival, I Declare War.
In addition to his feature film background, Webb also produced a film production for ESPN, A Season on the Brink, in 2002.
“Tricon’s expansion of its scripted division is a natural extension of our growth strategy and we couldn’t be happier to have someone of Lewin’s experience and talent heading up this important new undertaking,” said Andrea Gorfolova, Tricon Films & Television’s president.
