U.S. net TLC will air the hour-long special Half-Ton Killer? (pictured), which looks at twists and turns in the case of a 1,100 pound woman, charged with murdering her two-year-old nephew.

The doc is produced by Megalomedia and exec produced by Jonathan Nowzaradan, and will air October 10 at 9 p.m. EST. Set in a Texas border town, it looks at the case of Mayra Rosales, a woman bedridden from obesity, who claimed she accidentally killed her nephew.

The special shows how Rosales’s attorney, Sergio Valdez, realized that her story of events did not make sense medically, as Rosales, deathly ill from pneumonia and weighing 1,100 pounds, could barely move on her own.

Half-Ton Killer? features exclusive access to Rosales, Valdez and various experts in its examination of the case and its eventual outcome.
