U.S. net OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network will air the two-hour special, The First Graduating Class: Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy for Girls (pictured), on October 14.

Produced by Harpo Studios, the one-off follows the up and downs of Winfrey’s decade-long dream to open a school, which eventually opened its doors in Meyerton, South Africa in 2007.

Viewers will be introduced to the 72 young women of the school’s first graduating class, as they graduate in 2012 and take their first visit to the U.S. to tour colleges. Meanwhile, OWN has given Oprah: Where Are They Now an October 2 premiere date.

The series, which was announced in August with the network’s fall slate, will track down memorable guests of The Oprah Winfrey Show.

Launching on October 2 at 10 p.m. EST, the premiere focuses on Kris and Daisy, children abandoned by their mother in 2006. Oprah: Where Are They Now revisits with the brother and sister as they reunite with their incarcerated mother.

Other episodes include Mary Jo Buttafuoco talking about surviving the gunshot inflicted by her husband’s teenage mistress; Rodney King’s last interview, where he spoke about his feelings 20 years after his beating by police officers; an interview with Kato Kaelin, infamous house-guest of O.J. Simpson; and an update with the “Pregnant Man,” Thomas Beatie.
