Alana Thompson and family, stars of reality series Here Comes Honey Boo Boo, will return to TLC with new episodes and three holiday-themed specials.
While not yet announcing how many new episodes have been ordered or a premiere date, the Discovery Communications network has confirmed that more episodes of the popular series, which has averaged 2.3 million viewers to date according to the network, are on the way as well as three “HOLLAday” specials to air close to Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas.
“Here Comes Honey Boo Boo has become a pop culture phenomenon,” said Amy Winter, general manager of TLC. “What you see is what you get and we are excited to share even more of Alana and her family’s unbridled hilarity, sincerity and love with our viewers.”
The series is produced by Authentic Entertainment. The first half of season one ends tonight, September 26, with an hour-long episode.
