Endemol picks up “Dear Neighbours” for five territories

Endemol has picked up production rights to the Keshet International docu-comedy format Dear Neighbours, Help Our Daughter Find Love for the Netherlands, Italy, Spain, India and Turkey.

The format follows the action as a small-town couple solicits the help of the entire community to find a partner for a single daughter or son who has moved to a larger city.

The original pilot aired on Israel’s Keshet Channel 2 in May and racked up a 37% share, according to Keshet International, the distribution arm of Keshet Media Group. Additional episodes are now being produced for the broadcaster.

The format has now been sold into eight territories, following recent deals with Shine for France and Australia.
