Discovery, Raw TV unearth “Jungle Gold”

Raw Television, the prodco behind Discovery’s top-rated series Gold Rush, is digging deeper into the mining space for another hit, this time in the form of the upcoming Jungle Gold.
The series, premiering on October 26 at 10 p.m. EST/PST, follows two Americans who had made their livings in real estate, only to see business evaporate with the advent of 2008′s economic crisis. Thus, George Wright and Scott Lomu make the decision to head to the gold-rich West African jungles of Ghana to embark on a treacherous but potentially lucrative gold-mining mission.
Jungle Gold has a shining spot in the schedule for its debut, airing directly after the 9 p.m. premiere of the third season of Gold Rush, which will be preceded by a 90-minute Gold Rush special, “Do or Die,” at 7:30 p.m. EST/PST.
Dimitri Doganis and Sam Maynard are executive producers for Raw Television and Charlie Clay is showrunner. Christo Doyle serves as executive producer for Discovery Channel with Meagan Davis.
