Wildscreen ’12: Power inks deal for “Cheetah Diaries”

Independent producer/distributor Power has sold all four seasons of wildlife series The Cheetah Diaries (13 x 30-minutes) to European network Viasat Nature.
The deal covers basic cable, pay-TV, SVOD and TVOD rights in Scandinavia and Eastern Europe. Produced by NHU Africa and narrated by British TV personality Michaela Strachan, The Cheetah Diaries follows a group of unorthodox conservationists documenting the life-span of the cheetah from “cuddly cub to ambassador cat.”
“The sale of all four series to such a prominent broadcaster is a true credit to the standard of the program and gives further traction to the development of our factual operation,” said Georgina McNeilly, Power’s VP of international sales, in a statement.
