Nat Geo, Towers look “Inside the Afghanistan War”

National Geographic Channel U.S. is set to examine the war in Afghanistan from the point of view of American soldiers, in Inside the Afghanistan War, premiering November 5.
Towers Productions, which also produced Inside 9/11 and Inside the Iraq War, is behind the two-hour special which will feature raw battlefield footage from helmet cameras, soldiers’ photographs and testimonies to paint a more complete picture of the complex war.
The special was first announced by NGC as part of its upfront slate in March. It will air the day after the world premiere of the scripted feature Seal Team Six: The Raid on Osama bin Laden.
For Towers Productions, Jonathan Towers is the executive producer, Kristen Akers Gozdecki is co-executive producer/writer, Seneca Lester is executive in charge of production, and Nicolas Zimmerman is field producer/additional writing. For NGC, Jack Smith is executive producer.
