WE tv’s Cyndi Lauper series to air in January

WE tv’s reality series starring pop star Cyndi Lauper (pictured) will begin airing on the U.S. cable network with two back-to-back episodes on January 12 at 9 p.m. EST/PST.

Produced by Mark Burnett’s One Three Inc., Cyndi Lauper: Still So Unusual (12 x 30-minutes) follows the “She Bop” singer and Broadway composer as she juggles family and professional commitments. It co-stars her husband of 20 years, actor David Thornton, and their 14-year-old son Declyn.

This season will follow Lauper as she launches the Broadway musical Kinky Boots with Harvey Fierstein, performs on the NBC series The Voice, struggles with vocal problems, works on her “epic autobiography,” raises money for her True Colors charitable foundation and curses on live television during the Kentucky Derby’s Pegasus Parade.

Cyndi Lauper: Still So UnusualĀ  is executive produced by Burnett and Lauper with Annabelle McDonald serving as exec producer for WE tv.
