UK pubcaster BBC2 has commissioned a second season of Alex Polizzi: The Fixer, a show which sees the titular troubleshooter (pictured) battling to bring businesses back to life.

The 8 x 60 second season was ordered by BBC2 controller Janice Hadlow and commissioning editor Alison Kirkham. It is executive produced by Tom Edwards for the BBC, and by Melanie Leach and Dan Adamson for Twofour, which makes the series. The series producers are Chloe Court and David Vallance.

Kirkham said: “We were thrilled with the response to the first series of The Fixer. Alex has a remarkable ability to combine business expertise with real warmth and a genuine desire to help the businesses improve. I think that authenticity is what viewers were responding to.”

Leach, Twofour’s MD, added: “Alex is an established and trusted face of business programming and we’re delighted to see her newest format returning for a second series.

“As someone who has spent her life working with her family she knows only too well the challenges of managing personal and professional relationships, an area that she’s keen to explore further within The Fixer.”
