History is expanding its presence in Hungary, launching on DIGI-owned cable networks and the DIGI DTH platform.

DIGI Group distributes cable and direct-to-home platforms in Hungary, the Czech Republic, Croatia, Romania, Serbia and Slovakia. A+E Networks UK, a joint venture between A+E Networks and BSkyB, currently offers History and History HD in Hungary.

The channel offers shows including Pawn Stars, Ice Road Truckers and Mankind The Story of All Of Us.

“We are very excited about this landmark launch on the DIGI platforms,” said Tom Davidson, MD at A+E Networks UK. “Expanding the reach of History to new audiences in Hungary is a continuing priority for us and we believe that our channels can add tremendous value to our affiliates’ offering.”
