Cineflix Productions is entering into the world of manufacturing to discover how American products are made, in Destination America’s Food Factory.

Narrated by The Howard Stern Show radio personality and Destination America’s Fast Food Mania host Jon Hein, Food Factory is set to premiere on the U.S. network on January 14 at 10 and 10:30 p.m. EST/PST.

The 26 x 30-minute series will go into the factories that produce Lays, Tootsie Roll, Dannon, PepsiCo and Planters products to reveal the processes that go into each item. Going from raw materials to finished treats, the episodes take viewers down the production line. The series also features brand ambassadors and factory employees recounting the product’s history in American cuisine.

Food Factory is produced by Cineflix Productions with Simon Lloyd and Philip Whelan as executive producers. For Destination America, Sara Kozak is senior VP of production, Marc Etkind is senior VP of content strategy; and Henry Schleiff is president and general manager

“This snack-filled series will nostalgically transport viewers back to their childhood, when raiding their parents’ pantry was like discovering a treasure trove of sugary, salty fun,” said Etkind. “Food Factory is like winning a golden ticket to go see the Willy Wonka – but then you’ll never look at a chocolate bar the same way again.”
