Keshet International, the global distribution arm of Israel’s Keshet Media Group, has sold the Israeli dating format Girlfri3nds to German media company ProSiebenSat.1 Media, for its channels in six territories.

Girlfri3nds will launch this year on ProSieben channels in Germany, Austria, Alto Adige, Switzerland, Liechtenstein and Luxembourg.

The format will be coproduced by Redseven Entertainment and Keshet Broadcasting.

Girlfri3nds, which also launched in the UK on ITV2 in September, follows three single women as they launch a nationwide search to find their true loves.

The original Israeli version of the unscripted format aired in primetime on Keshet Channel 2 in October of 2011.
