Oprah’s Next Chapter will air a special 90-minute episode on January 17, in which Oprah Winfrey will conduct the first interview with Lance Armstrong since he was stripped of his Tour de France titles.

In the episode, which will also be simultaneously streamed live across the globe on Oprah.com, Armstrong will address the alleged use of performance-enhancing drugs during his cycling career.

Winfrey speaks to the seven-time Tour de France winner at his home in Austin, Texas, continuing the format of the Harpo Studios series which sees the host step out of the studio environment to conduct interviews.

The exclusive interview is the first for Armstrong following the fallout from a report from the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency alleging that he’d been doping throughout his career. He was then given a lifetime ban on competing professionally. Armstrong also resigned as chairman of the Livestrong foundation, which has raised hundreds of millions of dollars for the battle against cancer.
