In this week’s round-up, North American networks re-upped on local versions, with Rogers Media ordering more of The Bachelor Canada, while History’s Top Gear (pictured) returns in the States.
Rogers is set to serve up more romance with a second season of The Bachelor Canada, Rogers Media’s president of broadcast Scott Moore confirmed this week.
Shot in Vancouver and featuring CFL free agent Brad Smith, the first season of the Canadian version of the international dating show ended its run in November. Season two of The Bachelor Canada will premiere in 2014.
Meanwhile, History’s third season of the U.S. version of Top Gear is set to premiere on January 29 at 9 p.m. EST. Season two was seen by nearly 60 million viewers, according to the net, and the newest season will continue to be hosted by comedian Adam Ferrara, race car driver Tanner Foust and racing analyst Rutledge Wood.
Produced by BBC Worldwide Productions, the new series will see the trio exploring the U.S. while testing the limits of prestigious and infamous automobiles.
