Zodiak Rights, the distribution arm of Zodiak Media, has acquired international rights for In the Big House, airing on Logo in the States, and the U.S. version of A Place in the Sun, airing on Velocity in America.

In the Big House (8 x 30 minutes), produced by T Group Productions, follows the action as recently paroled mobster “Big Lou” Verdi moves in with his daughter and her modern West Hollywood family – an arrangement made more interesting by the presence of his ex-wife Dotsie and their gay son, Louis Verdi Jr.

A Place in the Sun (12 x 30 minutes), based on the UK format and produced by Handbook Productions, follows U.S. real estate entrepreneur and TV personality Danielle Robb (pictured) as she and her clients travel far and wide in search of new opportunities in the international property market.

“T Group produce many high-quality, top-rated shows across a wide range of U.S. networks, and we are delighted to have established our first of hopefully many distribution deals with them with their highly entertaining property In The Big House,” said Glen Hansen, Zodiak Rights’ SVP of sales, acquisitions and coproduction for North America in a statement. “We are also excited to have secured the international rights to the U.S. version of A Place In The Sun – a hugely successful show/brand in the international property and travel space. We expect this new U.S. series to be of strong interest to viewers worldwide.”
