Kinetic Content adds two

Santa Monica-based prodco Kinetic Content has added to its team, with Peter Wasek (pictured, left) appointed senior VP of finance and Melissa Weaver (right) named senior VP of business and legal affairs.

Wasek and Weaver will both report to Kathleen Burns, the company’s chief operating officer. Wasek joins from Walden Media, where he was senior VP of finance, as well as director of finance and strategy for the Screens Actors Guild.

Weaver, meanwhile, was formerly the counsel for the entertainment division at Manett, Phelps & Phillips, and worked on programs including Hell’s Kitchen, So You Think You Can Dance and The First 48. She has also played a key role in several merger and acquisition deals, representing Eyeworks in its acquisition of 3 Ball Productions.
