Transatlantic prodco Nutopia has secured its first returnable unscripted commission, with UK net Sky Living ordering She’s Having a Baby.

The eight-part series promises to bring viewers “all the ups and downs of pregnancy and childbirth.” Each episode will feature two mums-to-be, charting their ride over the months leading up to their delivery.

Nutopia CEO Jane Root said: “It’s great news for Nutopia to be branching out into returnable, non-scripted series at a lower price point – a big new development for us, and of course incredibly timely with the next royal baby on the way.”

The series is exec produced by Nav Raman at Nutopia and will be distributed internationally by BBC Worldwide under the title Me, My Bump and I.
