“Wheelers Dealers” set for global launch across Discovery

Discovery Networks International (DNI) is set to explore the world of used car trade with Wheelers Dealers Trading Up, an automobile adventure series from X2 Productions.

Premiering on Discovery Channel in 217 countries across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia-Pacific and Latin America in April, the 6 x one-hour series follows Mike Brewer, who begins with US$3,000 and bargains his way towards a $30,000 super car at auction.

He travels across the UK, Mexico, the Middle East and beyond, buying and selling his way to his goal, spotting bargains, fixing up cars for sale, and trading up across the world.

Wheelers Dealers Trading Up displays a keen sense of skill that literally translates across countries within a highly specialized industry,” said Elizabeth McIntyre, VP of production and development for factual programming at DNI, who commissioned the series. “Mike’s knowledge and passion are electric and dispel preconceived stereotypes about the used car trade.”
