A+E Networks has licensed 7 Days of Sex (pictured) to French prodco Tresor and Swedish prodco Strix, to produce episodes for broadcasters in Germany, Austria, Norway and Denmark.

Tresor is producing four episodes of the series, which takes couples at a crossroads and gives them the challenge of seven days of sex, for RTL in Germany; and six episodes for ATV in Austria.

Strix is producing 12 episodes for TV3 in Norway and six episodes for TV3 in Denmark. Strix has also optioned the format for Sweden.

The series debuted in the U.S. on Lifetime last year. “A+E Networks is committed to ramping up our formats business as we sail into 2013,” said Ellen Lovejoy, VP of international content sales for A+E Networks. “This year, we’re offering a more expansive slate of big character formats from Lifetime that bring gripping, real-life drama to the TV screen, and are sure to lure audiences around the world.”
