Core Media Group has unveiled a production partnership with Sean Hayes and Todd Milliner’s Hazy Mills Productions to develop unscripted shows, a day after it detailed plans for a London outpost.

Core, which notably owns the Idol and So You Think You Can Dance franchises, will work with Hayes and Milliner, the team behind scripted shows such as Grimm, Hot In Cleveland and The Soul Man, to develop “scripted and unscripted shows, along with original digital content.”

In a joint statement, Core Media Group president Marc Graboff and Core’s U.S. TV division head Jennifer O’Connell said: “Sean and Todd have very quickly built a remarkable track record and their passion and enthusiasm for creating content across multiple-platforms is perfectly in line with our vision at Core.”

The news, unveiled at the 2013 Realscreen Summit in Washington DC, comes after Core Media yesterday detailed plans to partner with Simon Shaps, the former director of television at UK terrestrial ITV, to launch a London outpost, charged with finding and developing international formats.
