ITV Studios Global Entertainment has licensed entertainment format Red or Black? to Italian pubcaster Rai, with a local version to be produced by Magnolia.

Eight episodes will be produced, in association with ITV Studios, and will broadcast early this year on Rai Uno. The gameshow format, which will be known as Red or Black – tutto o niente in Italy, sees contestants tasked with predicting the outcome of a series of games to win a cash prize.

Originally produced by Syco Entertainment and ITV Studios for ITV in the UK, this deal is the first out of  ITV Studios and Magnolia’s format partnership.

“Magnolia is one of the most prolific production companies in Italy, producing hits across a wide range of channels and genres,” said Tobi de Graaff, director of ITVS GE’s global television distribution. “Their local and diverse expertise, combined with ITV’s hit formats such as Come Dine with Me, The Chase and Saturday Night Takeaway, make them the perfect fit for our broad portfolio of formats in the Italian market.”
