Passion sells “Iconoclasts” across Asia, Lat Am

The @radical.media series Iconoclasts has secured a number of deals for its sixth season, with Passion Distribution licensing the show to Sundance Channel in Asia and Turner in Latin America.

The @radical.media series Iconoclasts has secured a number of deals for its sixth season, with Passion Distribution licensing the show to Sundance Channel in Asia and Turner in Latin America.

The sixth season of the series, which was produced for the Sundance Channel in the U.S., has been licensed to Sundance Channels in Asia, Central and Eastern Europe, Canada and France; while Turner in Latin America and DMTV in the Middle East also picked up the latest season.

Sky in the UK, DRK in Denmark, NBC Biography in Germany and Rialto in New Zealand also acquired the 6 x 30-minute season.

Iconoclasts puts two celebrity icons from different worlds together. The latest season features designer Paul Smith together with chef Jamie Oliver (pictured above, left and right respectively), actor James Franco and artist Marina Abramovic, and director Judd Apatow and producer/actor Lena Dunham.

“The intimate, unprecedented access to iconic celebs that Iconoclasts gives its audience, makes this a smart acquisition for international buyers,” said Emma Simpkins, Passion Distribution’s director of sales. “The return of all previous licensees to this new season is proof that this is a show that delivers what international buyers and audiences want.”
