American cable net ABC Family has greenlit two reality series, set to air this summer.

Dancing Fools will be a half-hour unscripted comedy hosted by actor Melissa Peterman (pictured, star of Baby Daddy and the upcoming ABC reality series Bet on Your Baby) and produced by The Gurin Company (The Singing Bee, Oh Sit!). The series is created and exec produced by Phil Gurin.

Meanwhile, The Vineyard is a docusoap from 25/7 Productions (The Next, Flip Men), created and exec produced by Dave Broome and Brian Smith. The series follows a group of 20-somethings as they summer in Martha’s Vineyard, a “picturesque playground ripe for mischief and romance.”

Production on both series will begin this spring.

Other reality series on the net have included Beverly Hills Nannies, produced by Evolution Media.
