Flame adds former Sky exec

Former Sky acquisitions manager Philip Barnsdall-Thompson (pictured) has joined Flame Distribution in the same role.

Working out of the Australian-headquartered distributor’s London office, Barnsdall-Thompson will report to Fiona Gilroy, content sales and acquisitions director.

He will be responsible for bringing in content from a wide range of genres to add to Flame’s catalog, which currently includes BBC’s Grand Tours of Scotland, James & Thom’s Pizza Pilgrimage, and the ZDF/ARTE docudrama The First Fagin.

“As Flame approaches its second birthday, this is the ideal time for us to welcome a dedicated acquisitions manager to our team,” said Gilroy. “Philip’s knowledge of international content and those who produce it is encyclopedic and we are thrilled that he will be joining us.”
