Zodiak inks deals for “Embarrassing Bodies”

As Embarrassing Bodies (pictured) enters its sixth season on the UK's Channel 4, distributor Zodiak Rights has secured several deals for the lifestyle franchise with networks in Europe, Australia, New Zealand and Canada.

Zodiak Rights has sold the Maverick Television-produced lifestyle franchise Embarrassing Bodies (pictured) and its spin-offs to networks in Europe, Australia, New Zealand and Canada.

The distributor sold season six of the series (eight x 60-minutes) to Nine Network in Australia, TVNZ in New Zealand, Xplora in Spain, Discovery Italia in Italy, RTL in the Netherlands, TV2 in Denmark, NRK in Norway, Fox in Finland, Vlaamse Media in Belgium and Canal Vie in Canada, the latter of which also picked up seasons four (20 x 60-minutes) and season five (13 x 60-minutes).

Meanwhile, Nine Network, TVNZ, Discovery Italia, Spain and Andorra’s Gestora Inversiones Audiovisuales, and Discovery Europe picked up seasons one and two of spin-off series Embarrassing Bodies: Live from the Clinic, while NRK and RTL bought season two.

In Germany, RTL2 commissioned spin-off Embarrassing Illnesses (eight x 60-minutes), and TVN in Poland is producing 12 episodes of Embarrassing Bodies.

Season six of Embarrassing Bodies will kick off on the United Kingdom’s Channel 4 on February 25.
