Solid Entertainment scores “Great Decisions”

California-based distribution company Solid Entertainment has acquired the international broadcast rights to the latest season of global affairs  series Great Decisions.

Produced by the Foreign Policy Association and airing on U.S. pubcaster PBS, the 2013 season is narrated by actor David Strathairn (pictured, above).

Each entry in the 8 x 30-minute documentary series examines a world issue, including U.S. budget issues in “Sacred Cow: Defending America on a Budget;” and the economic power of China in “Feeding the Dragon: China in Africa.”

“Current affairs programming has always been a center point of our catalog,” said Richard Propper, Solid Entertainment’s CEO and director of licensing. “This series captures illuminating points of view from political and economic decision makers from around the globe.”
