Cineflix Rights makes Latin America hire

Christopher Gordon, most recently with BBC Worldwide, joins the London-based distributor as director of sales for Lat Am.

London-headquartered distributor Cineflix Rights has hired Christopher Gordon, most recently with BBC Worldwide, as its director of sales for Latin America.

Gordon will work out of the company’s Toronto office while reporting to Chris Bonney, CEO of rights for Cineflix Media. He will be taking over responsibility for the Latin America region from VP of sales and acquisitions, Sabrina Ayala, who will be concentrating on sales to Iberia, Italy and France.

At BBC Worldwide, Gordon was territory manager for Iberia. Prior to that position, he held roles at Sullivan Entertainment Europe and Granada International.

“Latin America is a region where we’ve seen considerable growth in sales over the past few years under Sabrina’s leadership and we see a lot more potential for both our factual and scripted output,” said Bonney in a statement. “Christopher’s expertise and experience will help us build on our relationships with existing pan-Latin American clients and local broadcasters, as well as developing new relationships in the region as our slate evolves.”
