La Sexta picks up “Benidorm Bastards”

Spanish broadcaster La Sexta has acquired Belgian hidden camera series Benidorm Bastards (pictured) from distributor Red Arrow International.

The program, which will premiere this year under the title Los Mayores Gamberros, features seven senior citizens pulling pranks on younger people.

The Shelter-produced series airs in more than 20 territories, including in the U.S. as Betty White’s Off Their Rockers on NBC, in Sweden as Pension√§rsj√§vlar on Kanal 5, in Germany as Old Ass Bastards on ProSieben, in Denmark as Rollator Banden on SBS, in Australia as Off Their Rockers on Foxtel, and in South Korea as JeulGeoUn In Seng on tvN.

Benidorm Bastards won the Golden Rose at the 2010 Rose d’Or Festival in Lucerne, Switzerland.
