ITV’s editor of current affairs Mike Blair has stepped into the role of executive producer at Shiver, the factual arm of ITV Studios UK.

Blair will be tasked with overseeing the production company’s program slate, which includes Tonight, The Martin Lewis Money Show and Countrywise, and also developing new projects.

Based in Manchester, he will report to ITV Studios UK director of factual Alex Gardiner.

Blair has been with ITV since 2011, overseeing titles including the documentary Exposure: The Other Side of Jimmy Savile. He was previously a senior executive at ITV News, looking after the Central, Granada and Wales regions.

Prior to that, he was the head of factual for Australian producer and distributor Southern Star, and ran the natural history production unit at Oxford Scientific Films. “Mike’s vast experience as an editor will prove invaluable as we look to grow Shiver’s award-winning output for both ITV and external broadcasters from our bases in London, Manchester and Leeds,” said Gardiner.
