Produced by Monkey Kingdom in partnership with documentarian Lauren Lazin, Newlyweds: The First Year chronicles the lives of six couples during their first 365 days of matrimony.
March 26, 2013

U.S. cable network Bravo is to premiere the docuseries Newlyweds: The First Year on May 6 at 10 p.m. EST.

The eight-episode, one-hour series, which was greenlit in August 2011, is produced by Monkey Kingdom in partnership with documentarian Lauren Lazin. It charts the lives of six American newlywed couples as they navigate personal decisions throughout their first 365 days of matrimony, from their wedding day to their one year anniversary.

Although the couples’ paths never cross, common threads begin to emerge in their stories such as fertility struggles, the merging of finances, cultural differences and family drama.

Will Macdonald, David Granger and Lazin serve as executive producers.
