Content Television has licensed natural history series Facing the Atlantic (pictured) to international broadcasters including National Geographic Channel, Discovery Networks Asia-Pacific, France Télévisions and VRT Belgium.

The 3 x 60-minutes series travels through the Azores, Spain, France, England, Scotland and Ireland to explore the relationships each country has with the Atlantic Ocean.

It will air later this year across National Geographic Channel’s pay-TV and digital platforms throughout the UK, Europe (excluding Italy and Germany), Japan and Africa.

The Discovery sale, meanwhile, is a pan-territory agreement covering Asia.

Content Television president Greg Phillips said: “Facing the Atlantic is an outstanding natural history series offering a unique view of regions rarely explored, and we’re delighted to see it heading to a wide international audience.”

Facing the Atlantic is directed by John Gwyn, produced by Aden, and narrated by Paul McGann.
