Thatcher doc sells into Canada, Spain

Sky Vision has racked up a number of sales for Brook Lapping’s documentary Thatcher: A Memoir, to broadcasters including Radio Canada and Telemadrid.

The one-hour HD special has been picked up by Radio Canada in Quebec, ATV in Hong Kong, TV4 in Sweden and Finland, Portuguese pay-TV news channel TVI24, and Telemadrid in Spain.

Thatcher: A Memoir features interviews with Margaret Thatcher’s close colleagues and associates, including current Prime Minister David Cameron, Mayor of London Boris Johnson, and former Mayor of London and long-time Thatcher opponent Ken Livingston.

The doc on former Prime Minister Thatcher (pictured above), who died last week at the age of 87 following a stroke, also includes rare archive footage with Ronald Reagan and Mikhail Gorbachev.
