U.S. terrestrial ABC has begun casting for Sing Your Face Off, a talent variety competition based on Endemol format Your Face Sounds Familiar.

Endemol USA is producing the six-episode series, which features five celebrities who each week are transformed and trained to perform as a legendary musical icon.

“From the hours in the makeup chair to the days spent with choreographers and vocal coaches, each show will feature the complete transformation – not just physical,” the show’s billing promises. “The celebrities will embody everything about the assigned icon – their walk, their talk, and their distinguishing mannerisms leading up to the live performance in front of the judges and studio audience.”

Your Face Sounds Familiar was originally created by Endemol Spain and has been sold to 20 countries across Europe, Latin America and Asia. In China, the show is now in its third season.
