POV calls for 2014 season entries

Now in its 26th season, the PBS documentary strand has put out a call for entries for its 2014 season and beyond.

Long-running PBS documentary strand ‘POV’ has put out a call for entries for its 2014 season.

Films submitted will be considered for the 2014 season and beyond. For criteria and tips on what producers are looking for, read the updated Call For Entries Guidelines and ‘POV’ series producer Yance Ford’s blog post, “For Filmmakers: What Does POV Look For in a Film?”

The deadline to submit is 6 p.m. on June 28.

The strand’s 26th season will kick off on June 24 with Christine Turner’s Homegoings, which had its world premiere at a special Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) tribute to ‘POV’ in New York. Other docs set to air in the year ahead include Only the Young, 56 Up, Brooklyn Castle, 5 Broken Cameras and The Law In These Parts.
